Why they are not using longer bucket line I really don't know. It seems longer lines are more usable when dealing with forest fires.

Scary stuff, I would of aborted that fire drop, the visibility is getting way to low over a built up area for my liking. Very impressive flying nevertheless. That tail rotor is incredibly close to the ground when you are dipping the bucket but hats off to you completing your drop in those conditions.

That stabilizer fin under the tail boom looks like it's barely attached.

That might be some sort of record for bambi buckets in under 5 minutes

I work daily with pilots, I'm a US Navy flight test engineer. This pilot is someone who was born a pilot. You aren't able to teach someone how to use their aircraft as an extension of their body, it's born into them. I'm watching some supreme airmanship on this video. I also work on the base that has the US Navy Test Pilot school. I'm sure you could show these pilots a thing or two!

Is this the same helicopter that was getting water from pools? If so that's great and you're a great pilot.

Do you guys use oxygen masks because of the smoke? Or does it not really reach the pilot cabin.

I'm impressed this aircraft has enough lift for the water and your massive balls. This is insanely impressive. Your water sourcing out of small wells/reservoirs is something I didn't think I'd see anyone ever try. That's some insane skill.

Mesmerising to watch this level of skill and professionalism, not just on the refills but also judging the approaches and timing of the drops for maximum effectiveness in absolutely terrible visibility. We're heading into a new fire season here in Australia, just want to give a shout-out to all ground firefighters and air attack personnel who work tirelessly to save lives and property. You folks are real everyday heroes.
